          2026 is a year when the UK will come into line with age groups operated everuwhere else in the world, and these changes will come into effect on 1st April 2026, until them, the following age groups will continue to apply:

1st January to 31st March

Under 13s          School Years 6 & 7

Under 15s          School Years 8 & 9

Under 17s          School Years 10 & 11

Under 20s          School Years 12 &13

 

From 1st April 2026

Under 12s          School Years 5 & 6

Under 14s          School Years 7 & 8

Under 16s          School Years 9 &10

Under 18s          School Years 11 &12

PLEASE NOTE:  Unlike their counter parts in Scotland, Wales and Ireland the English Schools Association at the time of writing this has decided NOT to change their age groups until 1st September 2026.  Regrettably this could mean that the Club's Athletes may find themselves competing in two different age groups until the end of August.
